Strategic Objective

To achieve autonomous dynamic institutional capacity for the faculties of sciences for continuous improvement for quality standards while fulfilling the requirements of accreditation.

Specific Objectives

This project aims to:

  • Encourage decentralization for autonomous improvement and sustainable development in faculties of sciences and their departments within the framework of quality and accreditation in a competitive environment
  • Upgrade the capabilities of faculties of sciences and their departments to absorb advanced scientific, interdisciplinary and innovative specializations
  • Reinforce interrelationships between faculties of sciences and the community, industry and labor market
  • Maximize the benefit from information systems and sources, laboratories, and infra structure
  • Enhance the quality faculties of sciences and their academic programs in accordance with the national and international academic standards
  • Qualify faculties of sciences to apply for and attain accreditation form the national authority for accreditation
  • Guarantee the quality of graduates of the faculties of sciences and foster their competitive abilities on the national, regional and international scales
  •  Ensure the quality of scientific research in the faculties of sciences and increase its capability to fulfill the needs of the community and assist in industrial, environmental and societal development
  • Enhance and improve capacity building in applying new technologies in teaching and learning and production of scientific materials and electronic courses

  • July 2009- December 2012
Suggested Budget

The budget is estimated at one hundred million Egyptian pounds (100,000,000 L.E.) such that the participation of public Higher Institutes should not be less than 40% of the overall budget.
